Severely sick after csection ?

Hi all! Have any of you been severely sick after your csections ? I have now had two and each time, I throw up for hours after. I know it has to do with the pain medication administered in the spinal in give. Does anyone have any suggestions on something that can be given as an alternative for next time ?

They should be giving you medication to stop the sickness feeling when your having your c-section. I would tell them next time that you was being sick. All 3 c-sections I have had told me they given me anti sickness meds while I was having my c-section. And I never felt sick after so worked for me.

The nurse that was with me during my C-section said it can be hormonal and a reaction to the medicine given. She said to let her know as soon as I felt nauseous during the surgery so she could give Zofran or some equivalent. It helped basically immediately. I never actually threw up. I sort of gagged for a minute, but I ended up being fine.

I continuously puked for the next 12 hours after my c-section. Vomiting already sucks but with a fresh incision too? Omgggg 😩 
They were giving me zofran which barely did anything. The only other option was phenergan but that med knocks you out so I chose not to take it so I could bond with my baby. I was already tired from having surgery at midnight, I didn’t need anything else to add to my sleepiness.

Following as I have the same response from the meds. They did give me something in my IV with my second csection but I was dry heaving like crazy because there was nothing to come up. I’m about to have my third and also wondering.

It’s probably from the anaesthetic? 
I would talk to your OB about it, if you’re planning on having more children, and having future csections.
It’s not uncommon to feel nauseous and vomit after the surgery, that’s typically why they wait a certain amount of time before allowing you to eat anything.
