Why did they change my due date?

My lmp was 10/15 which puts my due date at 7/22. On my last scan at 12 weeks they measured baby and put my due date at 7/16. Does this mean baby is going to come earlier bc it’s measuring a little bigger on this scan? Or does the size of the baby have nothing to do with it and should I go based on lmp? I’m so confused

Mine changed by two weeks. They go by the baby measurements because they use your last period as a guess to when you ovulated. This is not always exactly on track so they rely more on the baby.

Did your doctor actually change your due date or are you going by just the ultrasound?
Babies can start growing at different rates at the end of the first trimester onward so the ultrasound may have a different due date based on how baby measured that day but it doesnt mean the actual OB changed your due date.

Like the others said. They go off LMP until they can get a clear shot of baby measurement. Then they decided the final Due date. 
My baby was measuring within like 3 days o think so it stayed the same. Of course your dates are still pretty close together. Baby will come when it’s ready.

Usually they go off lmp unless baby is measuring more that 5 days bigger
