My daughter is 8 months old and always suffered from gas and constipation since she's been on formula. I tried emfamil, Similac, holle goat, and Hipp dutch. She seemed to take well to the Hipp dutch up until I switched to stage 2. So ever since 6 months old she has had bad gas and constipation coming back and now it's even worse. Every minute she seems to be trying to pass wind and I always have to force water and prunes to help her poop. I want her on organic formula preferably a European brand but honestly it's so expensive I cant really afford it anymore. So yesterday the formula didn't come in the mail yet so my husband picked up Gerber gentle formula for her as a back up but I'm wondering if that formula is any good. If it is I might want to switch her to that since it's easy to get and cheaper. As yes it's not organic but I figured she might not be on formula for much longer maybe just a few months longer and then maybe a bottle every now and then. Has anyone had any experience with a situation like mine? Does Gerber gentle help with constipation as well? Or do you think she will get more clogged up. My other concern is I like that European formulas don't have as much iron as American formulas but if this one helps I'm willing to give the extra iron but will that be weird on her system from such a big change in iron?
