Cloth diapers or disposable? And why

I'm undecided.. I have a soon to be 6 year (I used disposables) but this time around cloth diapers are getting "big" for a lack of word .. And they are some many options.. Fitted cloth, flushable inserts (biodegradable) ext. I'm leaning to cloth.. I think but my family is not (they think of what our grandmothers used with safety pins) they've come a long way! Anyways what are ur thoughts..
