Painful sex

I just got a positive pregnancy test five days ago- my husband and I had sex for the first time in a little over a week - but the vaginal pain was so bad we had to stop- we used lube also- I assume it’s all hormone related. I didn’t hurt like this even the first time I had sex. Anyone else have this issue ? I was really into it untill we got going- disappointing to say the least.
