Any idea what this can be???

All my life I’ve tried to avoid herpes and that’s all I can think about. I’m freaking out... I’ve been married for 4 years. With the same guy for 8. He’s the most loyal person there is so I know that’s not even a possibility. I had a bad blackhead exactly where this thing is for about a year and I started messing with it a few day ago and biting at it not even thinking about it and the past two days it has swelled up!! There was a little blister looking thing and I popped it and this is what t looks like now. Yes my lips are super dry and chapped

Even if it is a cold sore, that can be dormant for years!  So you could have been exposed before even meeting your husband. But it’s possible that when you messed with the blackhead it irritated it and maybe got infected.

You do know herpes is spread without an outbreak,condoms do not stop the spread and herpes is not included in standard std testing.

That does look like a cold sore. You may have picked up the virus in the past. It can lay dormant in your body until something triggers it. I wouldn't pick it!

Herpes isn’t the worse thing in the world that can happen to you. It’s not like the bubonic plague or anything. Loads of ppl have it and it lays dormant for years. Looks like a cold sore.

It can also be genetically passed down. You may have been born with it, and it laid dormant. Just don’t kiss your husband or have exposure until
It’s healed. Stress and dehydration can both bring on outbreaks supposedly.

A cold sore is herpes simplex virus but its nothing to be concerned about. Your doctor can get you some awesome cream and pills for it! Abreva works good as well but is spendy. I have the cold sore virus in my body. If I accidentally bite my lip, my lips get chapped, I get a zit near my lip, etc I will get a cold sore from it. Just make sure you have a specific chapstick for it. No kissing, sharing etc. If he has broken skin he can get the virus as well. It's more common than you think but I dont think you should be worried about cheating at all.
