Hi! I’m scheduled to get my implant next week. I’ve read some crazy stuff online about the bad side effects, but I’m kind of convincing myself that the majority of any online reviews for anything are going to be bad, because many people who are satisfied with something don’t feel a need to review it, they just move on therefore the majority of online reviews are complaining people who want to be heard. I was hoping to get a more holistic view on here!! What is everyone’s experience? Weight gain? Depression? Anxiety? Acne?

I have a history of anxiety but have never been depressed which is what I’m scared of. Depression doesn’t run in my family and after speaking to my mother she said she never had problems on the pill or on depo. I have struggled with acne, but I convinced my OB to put me on spironolactone to combat that while I have the implant.
