Should those who have intellectual, developmental, and/or physical disabilities get a sexual education?

Jasmine

Working with those who who have a variety of disabilities, I’m very opinionated about this. But I want to know what you ladies think, and why.

For me it will always be a yes. Regardless of a persons developmental or intellectual abilities, I believe they should be given a sexual education at a level in which they understand. I believe they should know about their own anatomy. That masturbation is natural, and the time and place to do so. Appropriate and inappropriate interactions with their peers. A level of modesty. Consent. These are topics that aren’t taught in “special education” programs, and I feel they should be.
