Sending Pics illegal?

I have been told sending nude pictures to your bf, or just to anyone actually, while under 18 years of age is illegal. I am unaware of any laws for this and was hoping some would have more insight on this topic than myself. (I am aware is it illegal to show someone elses pictures to another. For this i am asking specifically if just sending them is wrong) Any responses will be helpful, please be kind and positive, Thank you!

Yes it's illegal and you can both get into trouble. You'll get in trouble for producing and distributing child porn and he'll get in trouble for possession of child porn

Yes it’s incredibly illegal even if you are both underage you can get in trouble it’s consider child porn. I’ve been there. I was 15 when my ex bfs mom found my photos and called the police, dead ass the cops came to my house and confiscated my phone so they could professionally go through it and delete everything.

Yes it is super illegal. It's even illegal to posses your own nudes underage. It doesn't matter what state you are in or country. Even if you and your bf are in different countries you can both be registered as child sex offenders and go to jail for possession of child pornography, soliciting of child pornography, etc. Its a felony. You can get fined anywhere from 1,000-6,000 dollars in the United States and you can end up in jail for 1-7 years.
