How necessary is a big comfy chair in the nursery?

Hi All, first time Mom here. I purchased a regular wooden rocking chair for the nursery and then shortly after realized I probably should have purchased a big comfy chair instead. Thinking a chair you could fall asleep on in between feedings. Is that a thing or do you go back to bed?

With our first baby, my husband insisted on using a wooden rocking chair that was his grandmother’s. I’m all for nostalgia, but even with cushions it was awful. We have a huge room and I’m using a recliner this time around.

My son is 2 and we still use it to read books before bed!!! Used it for nursing in the middle of the night too once he got a little older and he wasn’t sleeping in our room. We love it ❤️❤️❤️

We got the comfiest rocker before we had our first baby and it was the best investment ever. I used it sooo much for breastfeeding during the day or before he was sleep trained at night. We plan on using it for baby #2, I highly recommend one!

We got a comfy chair and ottoman for baby #1. It was sooo worth it. I spent many late nights rocking and feeding my son in that chair. We plan on moving into #2’s room as well. 
I recommend getting a chair with a high back, so you can rest your head back too.

I think if your baby will sleep in their own room then it’s more necessary than if you Cosleep. 
I would never have used one because my babies all slept with me and we nursed laying down and fell back asleep.

I used my grandpa’s glider. It has cushions and an ottoman that rocks too. For me, this was the best of both worlds. Super comfy, plus it rocks!

I’ve had a few little ones as my husband and I foster.  When they are small and feeding lots at night I’m most comfortable in my bed with the covers on.
I have used the rocker with older babies though.
