Is this normal?

I just found out I’m pregnant took two at home tests. Went to the doctor yesterday my hcg levels are at 382 he days I’m about 2-3 weeks so still really early but didn’t elaborate much. Was a quick appointment. He told me

To come back next week for a sonogram. I’ve been getting some cramps and feels like I’m going to get my period. Weird feeling! Is this normal? I had a miscarriage 12 weeks ago so of course I’m nervous about this happening again. Any info would make me feel better. TIA
