Anyone get induced??

Question

I am 39+4 with my second baby. I'm going in Tuesday at 6am to get induced. With my first I had a very hard labor. Pushed for 4 hours. I would like to hear some stories with inductions.

After being induced with my first I was only in active labor for 4 hours and pushed for 25 minutes.  I guess it all depends on your body.  Induction can be blamed for some of it but not all of it.

I was induced with my first at 39w because my labor was going as fast it should. Once they started the poctin, it went pretty fast. This one I don't think will even make it to then! Good luck and you'll be fine.

I was induced with my first for growth retardation but she's a happy soon to be 7yr old. She weighed 4lbs 12oz when she was born. I have no idea how long my labor was but it was all worth it in the end. My 2nd came naturally but my 3rd and this pregnancy are c sections so I wasn't induced but am scared they might with this one.

I'm still waiting on baby #2. But I was induced with my first to speed things up because he'd pooed. My waters broke at 11am, started induction around 1pm, started pushing at 5.45pm and at 6.28pm my son was born! It felt like a really long process and I didn't have much mobility due to being hooked up to everything you could think of. And as for pain I can't really compare it to anything as it was my first. I did have gas and air and pethidine for pain relief and felt very drunk!

I was induced at 39 weeks, it was hard but everything went well. Pitocin was the worst I tried to go without the epidural and did  for 16 hours out of my 27 hour labor, but I ended up getting it and it helped me a lot! It's a long and tough process but just think about your beautiful baby! :)
