Any bakers out there?

Question

I fell in love with baking when I was about 15/16 years old. I made my first homemade chocolate cake back in November I think. It was good but so much work. I made a vanilla one couple weeks ago and it was nasty. It tasted like butter and I followed the recipe. So Idk what went wrong. The buttercream also came out nasty... 
By anywho, I wanted to know if anyone out there can give me an easy chocolate cake  and vanilla cake recipe.

Been baking for a while now, but not much of chocolate cakes. I got a wedding gig for February, and the bride wanted chocolate cake so I had to dig out recipes & I found one she loved!! Super moist & easy... just mix all dry ingredients in one bowl, and all wet ingredients in a separate bowl. Combine both mixtures and whisk just until it is well combined. I will attach photos, and a link to the video. She is a great baker & has the best buttercream recipe too (I used it also).

For buttermilk, she gives a tip on how to make it at home if you don’t have access to it.

I don't save recipes so I can't help you there, but for buttercream you have to beat the butter forever. It turns white and then it's good to go.
