After GCSE’s with a boy

Me and this boy are becoming serious however we are coming up to our GCSE’s and I know I’m going to be going to sixth form however he won’t get the grades to get into sixth form and is deciding to train for the army at 16 in a regiment quite far away so wouldn’t be unable to see me a lot

I don’t want to stop him from going however I won’t be able to not see him for a long period of time and I don’t want to be selfish about the situation and I obviously want him to do everything he wants in life and do what’s best for him

Do you think it’s worth me and him carrying us on or should I end it now before I get too attached
