How to prep a dog for a BABY

hr

We have two dogs, they will both be turning 2 about 2 weeks after baby’s due date.

One is a giant space hog, she will sit directly on top of you with no regrets, but listens when you just tell her to lay down.

The other is kinda a grumpy old lady at the ripe age of one. She doesn’t like being told what to do, barks like a maniac and doesn’t listen for shit. We’ve tried training but it’s just her fricken personality. (we got her at 6months)

We weren’t actively trying for a baby but not preventing, and we had always assumed we’d get pregnant in a few years, and that would be a great age for the dogs. I’m 9 weeks this week and obviously have plenty of time but time flies and I want to be prepared and have them feel comfortable.

There are no tiny babies in our family. They love my 2 year old cousin but they’ve been known to bark at strollers at the dog park (mainly because they’d never seen one before)

I need allllll the info you can give me about how to really prep them for this because I know it’s going to be a WORLD of change when baby gets here.
