Crush

Welp! I'm a sophomore (16), and I kinda have a HUGE HOPELESS crush on this senior (he's 17). I've never talked to him before, but we both do go to the same boxing gym and school and have a mutual friend... How do I attract him to at least look at me/ talk to? I hear from his friend that he's shy and so am I. Trying to talk to him at the gym would be hard b/c my brother is a trainer there is my brothers are pretty overprotective when it comes to boys. Should I ask his friend to help cause honestly I am desperate atm
