They can. If you’re pregnant and cutting that’s endangering the well fair of your unborn child. Old scars aren’t a worry. I cut as a teen and have scars all over. 🤷🏼‍♀️

It really depends on the circumstances, and usually they won't. If they believe you are danger to yourself or others then yes. But if you are self harming or suicidal you really need to get help now, getting help does not mean that the baby will taken away.

My mother-in-law is a social worker and  told me that fatique due to depression from pregnancy or post partum depression is very normal, but if you're still suffering from depression after a year or two and on after delivering, it CAN become the social worker's responsibility to step in, until you seek treatment or therapy. It all depends situationally and where you live. For example my biological mom suffered from postpartum depression and has remained depressed throughout my childhood (but now taking therapy), but even though she's always been going through depression, she still took care of my brother and I and even rescued us from an abusive family member that I used to live with as a child. Some people can handle depression better than others and not all people who suffer are neglectful parents, but I encourage therapy and help for those who need it, not just for the mother (or father) but for the children's well being too. Everyone is different, but always know that your child is priority even if that means seeking self care. 😊

Welp, in Pa Congress just passed a law that mothers who do drugs during their pregnancy can no longer face consequences. It’s now NOT considered child abuse.. so 🤷🏼‍♀️ I think it depends on where you live honestly.

Umm well no I was in a extremely dangerous space and my OB got me help rather then trying to make it worse and get my child taken. Do you trust your provider it’s something that you should speak about. They’ve never turned me in for it but will instead make sure I get the help I need.
