When was your toddler able to SAY colors correctly?

When were they able to point to a speak the correct color? Something I’ve been working on with my 22 month old, but so far everything is yellow.

Funny enough, the first color my daughter knew was yellow. For a long time, it was the only color she knew. But I would say by her second birthday she knew probably around 10 colors. Every child is different though. It doesn’t mean anything bad about your child if she doesn’t know 10 colors by her second birthday. She will develop at her own rate!

By 18 months she could identify and say all her colors correctly. She was a early talker.

Ha, ha! That was my second daughter but only younger. We knew she knew every color but would mess with us and said everything was yellow! Turns out it’s her favorite color. 💛

My daughter has all her colors down for a few months now. Around 27 months i would say she started really learning them. Now shes 2 1/2 and can point to any color and tell you what they are.

My 27 month old can point to a color if we ask him "Which one is ...?" He will also occasionally say the correct color when talking about a toy. However, if we ask him "What color is ...?" He will always answer "blue." 🤷🏼‍♀️😂
