Does being induced suck? What was your experience?

I'm 38w1d, and the Dr said at 39 weeks they will discuss induction if it's something I want... Well I definitely don't want to go past my due date... I'm already terrified of a monster size baby (big babies run on both sides, doesn't necessarily mean anything, but still lol), and honestly at this point I'm exhausted and just ready... I would love to go into labor naturally, but I'm worried with him being my first that if we don't induce, he will be late... What is your experience with induction? Is it worth it to not go over? Thanks in advance ladies 😊💙

An induction should never be elective. That is nuts. There are serious risks involved especially if baby is not ready and you can expect labor to be way worse than it should be. Let your baby come when he or she is ready. A due date is nothing but a guess date.

Inductions are worse on the mother!! And hard on baby as well

I hated my inductions. I would ask for another ultrasound and keep in mind they can overestimate by a pound. I wouldn't have an induction unless the ultrasound says 9 pounds or over.

With my induction I was having 3 contractions back to back with no break then break then back to the 3 contractions back to back thank God I had epidural if not I would of been in alot of pain

My water broke at 36 weeks 3 days and I had to be induced. The contractions were always really close together and intense. I think the worst part for me was being hooked up to the IV and not being able to walk around.

Im following. Im being induced at 37 weeks due to high blood pressure and im so scared 😟

I had one with my first due to high BP and onset of pre-e. I wish I hadn’t had to. It was awful for me. Began at midnight on sat night (sun am technically) and no progression through Monday at midnight (tie am technically). They put me on pitocin to see if that would dilate me and it caused my daughter to go into extreme distress and I had an emergency c-section at 2:00 am Tuesday morning. Longest 50 hours ever. And so scary.

I LOVED it. 
I'm a worrier, and the thought of am I really have contractions? if everything ok? should I stay, should I go? it all stresses me out! 
so at 41, 3 days they say hey! you want to be induced tomorrow at 9 am I said YAASSSS. 
I got the hospital on my own time, not in a rush forgetting anything. I was give my nice room, and met all my nurses while not in pain, ect. 
they explained everything that would be happening, what meds I would be on, what all these buttons and monitors do. 
as the pain grew, they checked on me, I got to watch the, eat food, luckily my water broke on it's own. and by the following morning I was pushing out a baby!

I actually liked my first induction, and it went smoothly for being done spontaneously. Had my son in 17 hours, start to finish. I opted for it this time as well, I don't feel contractions and am worried about running into hard labor in a really inconvenient setting or something.
