Question about doppler and twins

Kristyn • I am a holistic herbalist, traditional midwife, spiritual counselor, homeschooling, home-birthing, homeBREWING, and just all-around crunchy hippie mama.
For those of you having twins, and who have a doppler, have you been able to distinguish separate heartbeats? Have you heard an echo of the second heartbeat? Do they register at different rates?
When I had my twins in 2011 I didn't use a doppler until much later in my pregnancy, and by then they were big enough to be easily distinguished.
I was using it this evening and FINALLY heard a heartbeat (10 weeks exactly). But I heard it on two sides and there was an echo. And the echo was also the distinct galloping sound, not the whoosh-whoosh sometimes mistaken for the heartbeat. And they registered at different rates.
I have not had an ultrasound (my homebirth midwife does not do them and cannot order them) so if I want to find out if I am having twins again I have to get one done privately. Until then, I was just wondering what other people have experienced. :)
Side note: Glow keeps suggesting I might be having twins. Anyone else keep getting those suggestions?
