Did you try to get pregnant while engaged? Why?

I read a lot of posts about engaged people trying to get pregnant and it baffles me...don’t you want to get married first? Have champagne at your wedding? Feel good in your dress? Enjoy your honeymoon? 
What’s the motivation...

We started before we got married .. and we’ve been married for almost a year now and trying for well over a year.. that’s why.. i knew we were gonna have issues ttc so I wanted to start earlier

We started before we were engaged and then everything went wrong with planning the wedding. We are still trying whether we get married or not.

Me and my husband was trying before we got married neither of us really we into the whole wedding idea we both wanted the wedding to be just us so that's why we put off getting married cause everyone made a big deal about it then one day we just decided we wanted to get married to we just did it! Turns out i conceived the same month we got married and I'm currently 31 weeks pregnant with our first! Honestly to each their own if they are more than capable of raising a baby why does it matter if they are married or not?

Because we aren’t getting married for a few years (yes, we’re engaged).
