Secondary School Vent
So to set the scene, I’m in Year 11 and have quite major anxiety and am very self-conscious.
I was walking home with my two friends and we were talking about prom. My birthday is the same day as prom (I hate my birthday) and one of my friends told a teacher who is planning a large part of it.
She told me that he said he is going to get a cake and I said jokingly “I hope he doesn’t I would actually go home”
At this point there were 3 Year 7 boys in-front of us and one of them repeats what I said to his friends and they all laughed and kept mocking me.
That’s not the end of it either. They follow us after we overtook them (because I was upset and annoyed) and started throwing snowballs at us. Oh yeah, it snowed the previous day causing my getaway to be more difficult due to the ice.
I don’t understand why they behaved like that. I was never rude like that when I was in Year 7 especially to people in older years!
