Travel at 37 weeks? 🤔

My significant other informed me he has to be gone for training the week of February 25th. He will be about 9 hours away from me. It’s a very important training that impacts his job significantly. 
I am super nervous about him being away when I am so close to being due. I could potentially go with him, but then I am far from my doctor if anything should happen. I am unsure if he will fly or drive at this point, which would impact how long it would take him to get home if I were to go into labor.
I intend to ask my doctor for her thoughts tomorrow. This is our first child, so I assume I will probably not go into labor early, but I feel like 37 weeks on is kind of fair game for baby to make an appearance.

I totally get you.
I would really struggle. I asked my boyfriend to go before if he had to go to his work (He works from home but sometimes take a 5 hour trip to the other end of the country to meet up with work)..
He has now decided to stay home until baby is born and what a huge relief!!! 😱
So I get you. But I wouldn't go with him.
But I'm also very comfortable about my birthing place so I would be tested a lot if I had to give birth elsewhere.
I would stay home and find someone who can go with me as a backup.

My sister had her 1st at 37 weeks I had my 1st at 39 weeks. I would stay home and just hope my husband be able to make it home before you go into labor if he really can’t miss it for work.

My husband went 10 hours away from me when I was 37 weeks pregnant with my first. I was a bit nervous about it like you are but it was fine. I didn’t go into labour until 41 weeks. 
If it’s really important for his job, I would just put a plan in place for what you both do in case you do go into labour. Our plan was that he wasn’t to consume any alcohol on the trip, so if I had any signs of labour that he’d be able to start driving right away. My mom was my back-up for a birth partner. 
Especially if it’s your first baby, statistically speaking you’re unlikely to spontaneously go into labour at 37 weeks. Avoiding things like sex or intense exercise immediately before he leaves (and while he’s gone) will help reduce the chances a bit.

I had both of my kids  at 37 weeks.. so I wouldn’t risk it but see what your doctor recommends
