I asked my (now) boyfriend at the time before we started dating, what he wanted and if he was looking to settle down with someone or just a hook up or what. 
He told me he didn’t like to plan things that far out and that he would just go wherever life took him. Wasn’t my favorite answer but I went with it. Now, we’ve been together for a year and we talk about marriage and babies and things like that. For him, it just took some time.
