Early pregnancy bleeding

Hi ladies. Recently I’ve experienced some bleeding that really worried me. It wasn’t enough to soak up a tissue but enough to cover two tissues. The bleeding was a pinkish orangish color. I went to the pregnancy clinic and was told that if it’s not soaking up a pad I should be fine. The bleeding has stopped. It went a way with a few wipes but brown discharge after. I am very early on almost 6 weeks. Has anyone experienced this? I can only think of the worst right now.
