Girls are here!
After a long bumpy road and making it to 32 weeks my babies arrived a week ago. I'm thankful to have made it this far. My baby b's (Sophia) cord looked like it shouldn't have been viable, barely the thickness of a vein in her sisters cord. It was translucent. My baby a's (Hazel) cord was extremely short. I'm thankful I went with the c-section instead of chancing my daughters lives. I feel like Sophia shouldnt be here as it is but we made it and they are doing great for one week olds! I'm so proud of these tough little ladies! They came off their cpaps yesterday and Hazel's umbilical line came out with no need for a pic line. They are off the blue lights, and they said we may be able to start practicing breastfeeding! There is about a pound size difference due to sIUGR. Hazel was 4 pounds 2 ounces and Sophia was 3 pounds 5 ounces. And to me they are absolutely perfect! I think once Hazel stops having bradys and we are feeding properly, either by bottle or breast, she'll be able to come home. And Sophia may only be a few days behind her! Top picture (babies head to the right) is Hazel. And bottomed (babies head to the left) is Sophia 💜💜
