Is this legal?? Advice needed!

So today me and my so were sleeping in our apartment after working very hard just a few hours before, I heard a few knocks at the door but I honestly didn’t really pay much attention because we were SO exhausted! Next thing I know my landlord is using her key to BARGE INTO OUR APARTMENT!!! luckily for me I have video footage because I recently purchased a security camera, my main question would be is this legal to do?? Can they really go into your apartment for non emergency visits with no notice whatsoever??
I found out later that they were going in the apartment to do a routine extermination, which is absolutely not an emergency and I could have at least gotten notice of the situation first
Edit: there is no community bulletin board or anything like that. They are very shady so I guess this shouldn’t surprise me.

Unless there is a clause in your lease agreement- and I'm not even sure then- they are required to give you 24hrs notice before entering. Entering without an answer is usually allowed IF notice is given in the case of things like emergencies or apartment maintenance

No, it's not legal. They are required to give you forewarning on reasoning and let you know dates and hours before going into your home unless an emergency in the home is suspected. Much like when officers do it. They can't just knock and enter.

Depends on the lease agreement. They could have put it on a community board or something that you didnt happen to see it or maybe in your lease it says when the days are they do the routine  inspections. My apartment did them once every other month.

It’s totally dependent on where you live. Here the landlord is required to give 48hrs written notice for non emergencies.

We lived in an apartment complex where this type of thing was customary. The maintenance men would just let themselves in to change air filters and do other maintenance. They would knock and if we didn't answer assume we were gone I guess and let themselves in. There was something about it in our lease.

Where I live a landlord needs to give 24 hours notice minimum that they are entering your apartment unless it’s an emergency. If it’s a routine check you should have received a phone call/ text/ email before hand to let you know.
