Coloring hair at home?

Any professionals on here that have any tips? Can’t pay the couple hundred it costs to get it done at a salon right now so need to do it at home 😊

It really depends on the current state of your hair and what you're wanting to do to it. I've been coloring at home for over a decade now, some things are much easier to do than others, and some basically require a licensed color specialist.

It depends on the color.. but some procedure can cause your hair to damage.

Never used boxed dye. Go to a beauty supply’s store or get it online. Just don’t use the dyes or bleach in the stores like target Walgreens or stores like that they can damage your hair more.

Try and see if any local salons have offers it try the local college and the students training there have days where they do the joe public as training.
