Help! I want to ask a guy out but idk how

So I’ve liked this guy for probs 4-5 months now and he’s shy so I want to ask him out but I’m terrified of rejection because I’m so socially awkward 🥴 and I don’t know if he likesss meeee. Or whether he likes someone else because I saw one of my kind of friends wearing his jacket today and I was a bit annoyed because she knows I like him.

Advice of how to ask him out?? And on the other bits as well??
