HSV2 & HPV?

Question

In 2015, I was diagnosed with genital herpes due to my partner cheating on me and sleeping with me and multiple women... I had an abnormal papsmear and they called me with the results, stating that I now have HPV as well.. I’m a bit nervous. Does that mean I’m high risk for cancer due to the fact that I now have two non curable stds? I feel so dirty and disgusted with myself.. I’ve been told hpv is very common but I still have the hsv to go along with it.. 😞

We don’t even check for HPV in the UK in a routine sexual health screen because it’s THAT common. It’s just important that you keep up to date at all times with your Pap smear as I’m sure you know 
I have no experience with the other but I do have something I’ll never get rid of. Yes it may lay dormant in me but I will take it to grave with me and probably have flare ups on and off for the rest of my life. It’s taken me years to get to a point where I feel actually like I don’t care about it. It felt huge like I’d never get over it.. it just gets easier with time

Girl you are not alone! I have the exact same thing. 
First, HSV isn't the end all drama people make it out to be.

1 in 6 people have had a active HSV breakout in their lifetime. The reason you can't test for it unless there is a break out is because most people have the virus (so they will test positive) and it really comes down to whether or not you get outbreaks. The truth is, the fear behind herpes steams from an outdated sex education system that used fear mongering to deter teens from having sex. Second, HPV, yes there are strains of HPV that may cause an increased risk of cervical cancer. Just stay on top of your PAP's and create a good dialogue with your doctor. Your health insurance should cover one PAP per year, but if you feel you need two, again discuss with your doctor and they will likely oblige! You just have to cover co-pay.

Hpv is super common. As many as 80% of people have it, most strains don’t do much harm and clear up on their own over time. If you’re really worried you can request to have a colposcopy done and they can check for cancerous cells. I have no experience with hsv tho.. have you spoken to your doctor about it? You can always call the clinic and talk to someone

Many people have HSV and HPV.
Having HSV puts us at a higher risk for other STDs. 
I have both but I had HPV first .
90%of the population have one or both types of herpes and 80% of them are silent carriers and don't know they have herpes.
80% of the population have HPV
Having high risk hpv depending in the strain could mean cancer but not always.
Type 16&18 are the leading causing for cervical cancer .
I am negative for those 2 types. I was diagnosed 7 years ago. When i was diagnosed was my 1 and only abnormal pap smear, all paps have been normal since. Yes i still have the virus my std test come back positive for HPV. 
Many woman think because their pap test are normal their body rid the virus,this is not true it is just dormant at the time.

I have had both. I have HSV1 currently and I take Valacyclovir when I feel a breakout coming so it stops it in its tracks as long as I have pills on hand. I’ve had HPV, but my body cleared it by my next pap. Yes it sucks, but it happens more often than you think. They’re both common STDs. But it doesn’t make you gross.
