I only use it if he has a rash - I use both sudocrem and a pretty heavy duty one for bad rashes called metanium x

I only use when a rash is present, until it is gone. That's what I've done with all 3 of my kiddos. I do wipe every change no matter boy/girl or poop or pee. In my experience the kids that use it all time have more rashes bc their little bums aren't used to anything but that cream touching their skin. As they get older they dont want it and it does wear away and they get rashes bc their skin isnt used to it. I've worked in daycares/preschools for 15 years this is what I've observed.

I use bepanthen when my babies bum looks red but all 3 of my kiddies haven’t had bad nappy rash.. so I’ve never use it each nappy change unless they need it..

Aquaphor to prevent (I put it on after dirty diapers not just wet)
Butt cream if he’s a bit red
Calmoseptine if he has a bad rash

I use bepanthen at every nappy change. I found with my son prevention is better than cure because once he gets a bad nappy rash it’s hard for me to get it to heal
