MIL calls my fiancé EVERYDAY ... multiple times a day. Normal ?

My soon to be mother in law calls my fiancé a few times a day.. and even FACETIMES. it’s gotten to the point where it’s becoming annoying because she has a whole husband at home so what do you possibly have to talk about everyday ? I’m beginning to notice how overbearing she can be. She always feels the need to give unsolicited advice when it comes to my kids and my pregnancy, my baby shower and wedding. Not only does he talk to his mother everyday but his sister as well . I never met a man who feels the need to do this so it’s kind of a turn off ....
