If your husband/boyfriend/donor had a semen analysis done, did he need a referral?

If you had your male partner/donor/whoever get a semen/sperm analysis done, did you need a referral from your fertility clinic? Did you get one from his doctor?
Is there a lab or clinic that a man can just walk into and pay for a semen analysis to be done?

Thanks for your responses. I actually had a lot of trouble getting this done as my wife and I are using a known donor. 
We are (unfortunately) experiencing secondary infertility as we used the same donor for our 4 year old and were able to get pregnant with her immediately. We have been trying for #2 for almost 2.5 years and have had 2 early miscarriages so far. I had all possible testing done and they found nothing. Our donor agreed to get tested and then the fertility clinic we did testing through refused to write a referral for him to have a semen analysis done.
Luckily I was able to find a hospital urology department that is willing to do a semen analysis without a referral, so we will be getting it done this week. Just thought I would post how I resolved the situation in case anyone is in a similar situation and searches through posts

Our fertility specialist did 2 sperm analysises then referred him to a urologist which he then needed approval from a Pcp to see a urologist. My husband didn’t have a Pcp (🙄men 🤣) so he had to scramble to see a Pcp to then see a urologist.
