One year!! 🤭😵

A a whole year ago today, January 24th, I was hospitalized for the first time in my entire life! I spent 9 days and 8 nights in the hospital. On the 7th day I received what is called a picc line. It’s a catheter inserted into a main vein in my left arm that leads directly to my heart pumping my antibiotics. I had that in my arm until February 13 doing at home treatments 3 TIMES a day!! I had to do it every morning at 8 a.m, again at 4 p.m, then again at 12 a.m. I was on the antibiotic called vancomycin. It kills bacteria that’s in someone’s blood, which I had. I had MRSA and cellulitis. I had to be on it so long bc I was allergic to the stronger one, clendomycin. While in the hospital I went through a total of 7 IV’s bc the nurses kept leaving them in to long, blowing my veins, or completely missing my vein but leaving it in. They took blood from me every day to test it, it was a lot of tubes each time. I cried every day. And my boyfriend who never cries, cried watching me in pain while he can’t do anything. I’m 100% better now, and I’m hoping it never happens again..because next time is fatal and I won’t make it out alive. Im unsure as to how I got it, but I did, and it was miserable. Here’s some pics! I have a video of the lady inserting my picc line but idk how to post videos lol this is my picc line the day it got removed!! That was in my vein pointing right at my heart
