Medium Rare burger?!

Went to this bar with my dad, they have really good food. Anyways, I got a burger and ordered it medium and after eating some of it I noticed it was pinkish, not red, but light pink. I stopped eating the burger but I searched up on google and people said it has huge huge huge risks. I'm 25 weeks pregnant

Only risk is the baby getting sick if the cow was a carrier of toxoplasmosis. Same thing cats carry in their feces. Some ppl ignore it. I don't. Just because you won't know it if the baby is sick. But don't freak out. You didn't know and now you do. Good luck.

Medium will always have pink in the middle. If you don't want pink you need to order well done

Technically speaking they say everyone should eat burgers well done. The reason being that Hamburg meat is ground up so even though the outside is cooked technically speaking the inside could have e.coli and you could get sick. I have been eating medium rare to medium well my whole life and during pregnancy. I know I'm taking a risk, but I feel like if I haven't gotten sick yet, what are the odds the first time will be when I'm pregnant.

If it was very very light pink (and like most of the burger was brown) you are probably okay. The burger most likely got hot enough to kill anything. Try not to stress and try to order it well done next time (I know that sucks). I've personally been avoiding a lot of burgers and steaks because I like mine pink 😭😭😭😭😭. You should be fine though,
It was one time. I have gotten a burger from in n out a few times and it has been very very very light pink on some parts and still ate it.
