Paraguard

I'm really limited on birth controls I can take because I'm prone to blood clots. Im leaning more towards Paraguard, but I'm a total wuss (despite having 2 kids, ha) and nervous about having this form of birth control inserted. Has anyone had this one before? Also, if you've had one similar (ie. Mirena) can you share your experience with the process of getting it inserted? TIA :)
