Firehouse subs and steamed meat?

So I have been lamenting not eating deli meat in sandwiches (that I don't heat up at home) but I was just thinking... If Firehouse Subs steams their meats would that be ok?

Yes. My doctor said to heat deli meat for at least 20 seconds and it's fine. Firehouse or Quiznos should be fine, toasted sub at subway should be fine too

Yes I get firehouse subs. They heat it to 145 degrees which is what it needs to be at for us. Eat up!!!! I can't live without sandwiches

How about subway meats?  Are they ok?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and eat Firehouse Subs like 5 times a week. It's amazing!!!  I have been craving the Ham Bacon Ranch (I don't eat turkey) and that's really the only meat I can keep down. Only other thing I can eat is chicken and nothing fried. I've been told that's it's fine and they smoke their own meats. I have 2 other kids (15 & 12) and ate nothing but lunch meat and Wendys with them and they are both 100% healthy. When you can only keep certain foods down, that's kinda what you have to go with...lol.  Great now I'm wanting some Firehouse...hahahaha

I had a firehouse sub yesterday 😋 then I googled about its safety during pregnancy... All posts said it is fine... Sure was delicious 😀

Omg I've been craving them and wondered this myself. As long as it's toasted I'd say it's fine though...

Don't know what firehouse subs is but I would avoid meat that isn't cooked or smoked in house. If they cook it in house I eat it, if it comes to them packaged or in a chunk that they slice up- it's a no. Still, your chances of listeria in America are pretty low.
