Confused about early period on pill

Can anyone explain to me why I’m getting my period early on the pill? I start my placebo pill week on this coming up Tuesday. But for the past two days have have dark brown spotting in my underwear and now today more red. It looks like this.

There’s no way this could be implantation bleeding right? I’ve read that that is more light. I’m just confused why I’m getting this early. I’m not new to the pill and have never missed one. Should I be expecting any bleeding or anything during the placebo week too?
