Traditional weaning or baby led weaning?

Not at this stage yet, just interested on your thoughts and what you choosen.

I chose to do a mixture of both. Best of both worlds, finger foods and spoon feeding.

My firstborn acted like you were trying to poison him if you went anywhere near him with a spoon, so we did baby led weaning out of necessity.

I done the traditional weaning with my oldest son he’s 9, it wasn’t as common as it is now when he was a baby so i only known that way of weaning back then.. I done baby lead weaning with my youngest son, and I honestly think this one was the easiest, as he was more ready for food then my oldest who I started off at 4months, as I cook everyday made it easier to give him finger food then spoon feeding.. 😊

I did a mix of both. Started on purées and then gradually worked up to finger food. My daughter eats what we eat (unless we’re having a lazy night and having takeaways or something - then I’ll cook her something healthy separately) and I find it so much easier and way less meal prep when we all eat the same thing
