Can't hear heartbeat at 10 weeks?

Question

We were able to see the heartbeat at 7 weeks via ultrasound, but the doctor was unable to hear the heartbeat via Doppler today at 10 weeks. I know it's probably just too early like the doctor said, but it would be nice to hear positive experiences from anyone else who was unable to hear the heartbeat at 10 weeks. Thanks!

They tried to listen to my baby at 10 weeks and nothing went back at 13 weeks and heard it . 34 weeks now so dont stress !!

My doctor won't even try until the second appointment (usually around 12/14 weeks) for that very reason. Don't stress!

They didn't actually listen to my sons heartbeat until I was 18 weeks. Before that I just had ultrasounds, one at 9 weeks & then another at 13 weeks. It's still fairly early & your baby is still small so he probably just had a hard time finding your baby! I have a Doppler that I listen to on occasion. It took me along time to find the heartbeat on it I think I was around 10-11 weeks.

I didn't hear the heartbeat until 16 weeks before that the midwife was saying its to early and baby has to be in the right position to catch it x

At 12 weeks they couldn't hear the heart beat via Doppler so he did a quick ultrasound to make sure the baby was alright. He discovered I had an anterior placenta the baby was perfectly fine.

At 12 weeks, my doctor tried the Doppler and we still didn't hear it! It's nothing too worry about. Sometimes it's too early! He went and grabbed a portable ultrasound machine and showed us the baby, and his little heart was beating away. At 24 weeks, he's completely healthy 😊

Sounds like your dr had a hard time finding it and did not have the time to keep looking. The baby is so tiny and has a lot of room to hide in.

My doctor tried to hear it when I was 13 weeks and 5 days and couldn't find it, go to hear it at my next ultrasound when I was 17 week and 5 days!
