I went to Urgent Care and discovered I had a mass today.

I’ve been experiencing a lot more pain than usual the last few days in my lower right side that my parents and boyfriend have been urging me to be seen for. Well today I finally decided I didn’t wanna stick it out anymore and went. They ran a slew of tests and finally an ultrasound showed that I have a right adnexal mass about 6cm big. They also diagnosed me with Endometriosis (which I knew already) and attributed the growth to that. They discharged me afterwards and gave me papers to make a follow up appointment with my OBGYN. I will likely get surgery to have it removed but I’m nervous and afraid. My mom is an absolute freak out and my boyfriend is overly nonchalant about it.

I feel like once I was assessed and diagnosed, I was just sent on my merry way. (Yes I did call and leave a message with my doctor to make a follow up appointment but it is Friday so) They told me in the event that my pain reaches a “7 or 8” or I become feverish/nauseous or start vomiting before seeing the Dr. to go to an ER immediately. Nothing like this has happened to me before. Can someone who has experienced this provide more insight? How did your doctor treat it... did it affect your fertility... did you have it removed immediately... will it be easier to get pregnant once it’s gone... etc
