Abortion question
I'm seriously curious...
Say you are 26 weeks pregnant and found out that your child is SEVERELY deformed. (One story I read, said her baby had severe spina bifida and her child's brain had grew on the outside of the skull) Let's say that's the case, so the child has zero chance of actually making it outside the womb.
Why wouldn't a c-section be preformed and the child be medicated comfortably until nature took its course so to speak. Why don't we treat them like any other human facing inevitable death? I feel like abortion at that point would be a weird way to handle it.. I just don't get it. Am I missing something?
