When can you announce??

I’m 7 weeks along and have my first ultra sound feb 6th! How many weeks until you guys announced and told friends and family??

Whatever you’re comfortable with. 
I told everyone the first time around right away, then miscarried at 8 weeks. I did the same thing the second time, thinking there’s no way I’ll miscarry again, then miscarried at 6 weeks. I decided that next time, I’ll wait until 12 weeks or so. It was hard to have people asking me how the baby was because they didn’t know I had lost it.

I told close friends and family in the beginning but I waited until I was 13 weeks to officially announce anything

I was forced to announce at 9w, due to my pregnancy being published in the paper. I was involved in an incident at work, where a client was arrested (he attempted to assault me) and at his preliminary hearing, i had to testify. They published the fact that i was pregnant in the local newspaper and i knew some family would read it and put it together!

I dont like announcing until I know the gender because people will start guessing the gender as if they're entitled I hate that

I’m the exact same as you with my first ultrasound 2/6! We are telling our parents after our first ultrasound but will wait for others around 12 weeks
