2nd child baby shower??

What are your thoughts on baby showers for a 2nd baby? Is it rude to allow someone to throw you one? Do you think it's unnecessary?

Absolutely not RUDE! A baby shower is meant to celebrate mommy and new baby. If your family is excited to throw one for you go ahead and have it it is also helpful.. I'm on my third child and plan to have my third baby shower!! So exciting. Some people think that you only have it with your first child, you should have for every child. One thing you do learn after your first is what the necessary  essentials are. So I don't plan to go over board with my registry lol

I think a full blown shower might be a bit much, but sprinkles are nice...get together to celebrate baby, but not the expectation of large gifts.

Some people think it's rude so I've opted not to do a second. We are doing a gender reveal party instead and having a diaper raffle (bring a pack of diapers get a ticket to win a prize) just doing the diapers instead of gifts since we won't need too much this time

I'm going to have a "sprinkle". It's a smaller version of a baby shower, less formal, but still a way to celebrate. That is, unless I have a boy. All I have is girl stuff. Lol

I had baby showers with all my kids and with this one my 4th, I will definitely have one. My mom is already planning. My kids are 12, 11 and 6

I feel like if you have a baby of a different sex than your first it's ok to have a small shower for gender specific items.

Someone once told me that as long as your kids are far enough apart or different sexes it is fine but another person told me each child should be celebrated!🎉
I'm going to have a sprinkle for my second which is actually a different gender then my first. I don't need to be showered with things cause I still have a lot from the first but I do need some things since I threw stuff away like bottles and stuff.

I will be having one. My son is four, and it's very likely this is a baby girl in my belly! I don't have a single thing left from my son, since I have moved across the country just recently and had to downsize to one car load. My family wants to throw one for me when I go back there for Christmas, and my new friends and fiance's family here want to have one as well! So it's probable that I may end up having two! They're doing the planning! Lol
