Vitex berry?

So I’ve been off birth control for a year and some months. I’ve only had like two- three periods last year. So I started taking vitex berry. I took the whole bottle, and didn’t get my period. But, I can feel my hormones getting back to normal, and I’ve lost a lot of weight that I had gain from birth control. I was wonder if I should continue to the vitex berry or just take the regular vitex. Because, on about two different occasions when I took the regular vitex I would get a period in a week or two. Or can you tell me what your experience is with vitex???
