Too early to tell work?

Question

I work a night shift and I'm really struggling with it my morning sickness is night sickness and I'm exhausted an hour into my shift. I want to ask to switch to a day shift but I wonder if it's too early to tell them?

I teach so I told my principal and my janitors so I could have time for appointments and help moving stuff. I also told my neighbor teacher incase I needed him to take my kiddos for an "emergency"

I told my boss because my doc appointments have started up and since I haven't been feeling great (6 weeks and change) I needed her to know I'm not slacking. Plus we're planning spring travel and I'm due in the spring!

I told my work already as I get paid time off to attend my antenatal appointments and I have one on Tuesday , I wanted to claim my paid appointments that I'm entitled to :) it's just my line manage that knows and I've sworn her to secrecy

I told a co worker because I was tired and not thinking straight 3 days in a row. I'm a caretaker so I didn't want her to think I was being lazy.
