Weigh 103... OB told me to join a gym
Pre pregnancy, I weighed 98 pounds, and I'm 5'3. I am now 9 weeks, weighing in at 103. I was ecstatic - we were having problems conceiving because I'm so underweight. I've struggled all my life to be over 100 pounds, and even if its while pregnant, I was proud of myself! My OB told me that I gained 28 pounds last pregnancy, and that was borderline too much. Since I've already gained 5 pounds in my first trimester, he told me I need to go to a gym and carefully watch what I eat. Is he right? I have never heard that gaining 28 pounds is too much, and NEVER in my life heard that I need to diet. Is he right? Should I join a gym and diet? Or is he a whack that I need to drop, and find a new OB?
