Gender change ?!

Ok so I went for an "anatomy ultrasound" at 17w2d, when I got there the tech said she was confused why I was so early that they usually don't do them until 18-20 weeks. Well, after explaining I was upset because I had a reveal party that day she said she would try to find the gender. After a few minutes the baby was wide open and she said she seen the three lines and that the baby is a girl. Well now I have another ultrasound to measure the baby tomorrow and I'm really nervous that she's going to say it's a boy. I'll be happy either way but I did buy a lot of girl stuff has anyone had this happen?!

I would say it should be a pretty accurate result with how far along you got the test...I know if you are told it is a girl around 14 weeks or sooner there's a however much (not even going to pretend I know the percent) chance that you can still be told it's a boy. BUT if you are told it's a boy, I'm not sure if this is your first or not, all I wanted was a girl, I even almost cried and was a little sad when I was told it was a boy...let me tell you, I wouldn't have it any other way...there's a special bond between a mommy and son and I can already see it forming at 5 months old.

That's the risk we take when we find out early. I did the same thing and revealed the gender at 15 weeks and now I'm waiting for the final confirmation from the anatomy scan I'm having done in 3 weeks time. Worse case scenario, is that we'll have to tell people "Oops, hope you kept the receipts for any gifts". Don't freak out, it's not a big deal:-)

I found out at 15 weeks I am having a girl and went for my 18 week ultrasound and still a girl so I would say you will be having a little girl. Congrats 😊

I was told a girl at 13 weeks and it was confirmed by a blood test a week later.
