Birthday surprise

My Boyfriend just asked me if I wanted an engagement ring or a promise ring for my birthday

We haven't been together very long but we really do want to get married eventually, I told him the engagement ring can come later when we are a bit further along in our relationship and have a bit more money to our broke young adult ass selves. Hes looking at rings as im typing this and just said "you are the love of my life and I really do want to marry you one day" ugh my heart cant take it!
