Should baby showers be women only thing?

We’re planning our baby shower and a few people have made weird comments about the fact not only is my partner involved but we’ve also invited male friends and family. What are your thoughts on this? My partner is going to be a new parent too, why can’t he be involved?

We had a coed baby shower with our first and my husband hated it (I made him go.) Even though there were other men there, they all stayed in the garage the whole time. This time around, I'm planning just a girls only shower while husband keeps our toddler at home. I think its strictly personal preference. If your SO wants to go to the shower, that's awesome. Let people talk. On the other hand, if hes not really interested in the shower, dont force him to mak it coed.

I had men and women at my baby shower. I also provided alcoholic drinks for my guest. 
We had a 50/50 raffle after they started drinking, I got almost $200 from it and so did the winner! 😂😂

The more the merrier! Why not have everyone come to a party? I also am doing more of an open house/ drop by thing than a traditional shower because I honestly can't stand the dumb games and don't want to be the center of attention to open gifts. For me, it's more about seeing people and enjoying time with them than anything.

I had guys st mine like my uncle, brother, and gpa (hubby had to work but didn’t want to go anyway). They didn’t stay cuz there was more females and they took the kids and watched them while we had the shower.
